Although it is a common misconception that a Fire Extinguisher is either decorative or convenient door stop, it is a legal requirement not only to have extinguishers in a commercial premises, but to service and maintain them in accordance to the correct British Standards, under your responsibilities when employing staff, engaging with the public or providing vehicles for commercial use. It is also useful to note that many commercial tenancies require the tenant to supply, service and maintain portable firefighting appliances (extinguishers) as these often do not fall under the responsibility of the landlord unless supplied in communal areas.
Our BAFE qualified technicians have extensive knowledge and training, and can provide a full assessment of what you need and where to place the extinguishers for optimum use and of course to ensure you are compliant. All our extinguishers are delivered by a BAFE approved technician and installed, commissioned and then serviced annually in accordance primarily with BS5306 and all relevant standards.
We can also supply signage and wall mount the units correctly or in addition supply cabinets, stands and jackets for protection.
Fire extinguishers are only there to aid your escape. You should NEVER attempt to tackle a fire yourself and should ALWAYS evacuate a building and then call the Fire Service.
